A bit about me
I’ve been in the industry for nearly 20 years, starting as a studio assistant making coffees at Woodstock Studios in St Kilda where I got to work with amazing engineers on records from John Butler Trio to JET. From Woodstock, I moved to Sing Sing Recording Studios where I spent almost ten years honing my skills from being an assistant to eventually becoming one of the in-house engineers, getting to work on some incredible records including artists such as Kanye West, KIMBRA and The Cat Empire and other Grammy and ARIA nominated & winning albums.
While enjoying the studio life, I found the live sound world and quickly fell in love with it. I cut my teeth in the ring of fire that was the Espy Hotel in St Kilda, later becoming it’s production manager and working with artists such as Paul Kelly, Tim Rogers, De La Soul, People Under The Stairs and Roc Raida before moving and becoming one of the in-house engineers and later, the production manager of the famous Prince Bandroom. It was at the Prince Bandroom where I was able to step up to a larger format of shows and work with tours from James Blake and Booka Shade to Modest Mouse and Gurrumul.
It wasn’t long before I found myself touring nationally with popular Triple J acts on the festival circuit hitting stops like Falls, Blues Fest, Big Day Out and Splendour In The Grass. Before I knew it, I was a few trips deeps around the word and completely hooked on touring!
Fast forward to 2022 and I’ve been fortunate enough to have toured with some of the most popular artists in the world and have an international client base that spans three continents that has included Portugal. The Man, M.I.A. Jon Bellion, Friendly Fires, All Saints, Chet Faker and GOTYE.
I am a member of both the WAVES and MIDAS HD96 Beta and development teams, where i get to test and have input on some of the industries leading brands and most relied upon products used by engineers all over the world, every day. I am supported by some amazing manufacturers like SeElectronics, JH Audio. AVID and WAVES Plug-Ins all while getting to do what I love each and every day… When we’re not in a global pandemic.
